After hearing about EJ's awesome pushup achievement, I thought I'd give it a go last night since it was my cardio night anyway. Was funny coz I thought I wouldn't make it when I got to about 50, but despite my arms being flush with blood I managed 100. So that's out of the way. I probably should vid myself doing these as a sort of souvenir for when I'm older. haha!
Anyway, I attacked the vsits, but again my back started giving out before I finished. I guess maybe I should try the back raises first. 100 should be pretty easy though. My prediction is I probably can only get 8 of these, that is, not being able to do the pullups and the touch jump by the end of the year. Pullups because it's damn fricken hard, and I'm focusing on strength rather than endurance (been adding weights for pullups), and touch jumps because I want to focus on strengthening my patella tendon first.
The burpees are pretty easy. I do them for cardio now, interval. I didn't do 100 in a row, but did about 108 (9x12) alternating 12 burpees with 12 starjumps. Still knackered at the end but legs were able to pull it off.
So so far the list is:
✓ 100 正踢腿
✓ 100 burpess
✓ 100 pushups
⌛ 100 v-sits - 50
✓ 100s horse-stance
⌛ 100 pullups - 21
⌛ 100 deep-squat jumps - unknown
⌛ 100s handstand - unknown
⌛ 100" touch jump - unknown
⌛ 100 back raises - unknown
My schedule has been 3 days strength training, 3 days interval/cardio, 1 day running (20+ minutes). I have found the running hasn't been helping with fat loss anymore, going for a run now is more like a walk so it's no wonder. But I still want to keep the running up because I believe that's what humans are designed to do.
